Children like to give to their friends and even their family members, including parents. The best time to teach that it’s the sentiment or thought that counts as opposed to the gift is in early childhood. Coloring and other crafts are a terrific way to encourage creativity and imagination, and they also encourage fine motor skills and concentration. This DIY project shows step-by-step instructions on how to make a Valentine’s Day themed crayon organizer. 1. I love that you reuse tin cans with this craft–the less in the landfill the better. Of course they can be recycled in the recycle bin as well! This is a great way to hold crayons, pens and pencils and you can do any of the holidays!

  2. It would be a wonderful craft idea to make with kids during Valentine’s Day season. It is beautifully made.

  3. My granddaughter would find this crayon organizer awesome. It will be so pretty to see on her little work desk. I’m trying my hand at making this, but wish me luck because I don’t have real crafty hands like yours. 🙂

  4. Is it Valentine’s Day already?? Oh my time does fly! This is such a fun project. And the kids can write all kinds of special words on their tins too!
