Some of you may recall a while back for Wordless Wednesday I posted a picture of me on the Delivery Man movie set in NYC. Well, here’s some more on that movie.
Family is something important to me. My immediate family, my children, are my world. I am very close with my parents. I am very close with the middle of my three youngest brothers. That’s it basically, my family is pretty small. Sure, we have our little disagreements, but when push comes to shove we know what’s important – family. I consider them important and I love that we are all involved with each other closely.
Last year I “adopted” my good friend as a sister, since I never had one. Her family always treats me like I am one of them. In a way, my family grew on the day that I did that, and it felt good. I can only wonder what it would feel like to discover that my family was actually quite large. Which is basically what happens in the movie Delivery Man. After all, Delivery Man is about a single man who learns he in fact has children. 533 children. Can you imagine!
Since I can’t imagine not being involved in the lives of my family, I can totally relate to some of what’s happening in Delivery Man. As a parent I know I want to do all that I can to help my children, and would go to any length possible o do so. But to do that for 533 children? Whew!
Here’s the official trailer for the movie Delivery Man, which at this point you will only find here on Mom Knows It All and on 532 other blogs. Because in our own way the blogging community is one big family. Enjoy! If you have a moment after, I’d love to hear what you think.

DELIVERY MAN releases in theaters on November 22nd!
In the film, Vince Vaughn plays an affable underachiever looking for his purpose in life, when he finds out he’s fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago. Now he must decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father.
So what does this have to do with you, you might be wondering? While the concept of the film is amusing, it’s also a really heartwarming look at what it means to be a family — no matter how unconventional. The definition of family has evolved and, as seen in the film, can come in all shapes and sizes. So in order to celebrate family, we’re asking you to be one of 533 bloggers to exclusively deliver this trailer online to your readers. That means it won’t be debuting online anywhere but your sites first.
I personally love this idea because I look at the blogging community as one giant family who supports one another just like your own family does.
Please let me know if you’d like to participate in this exclusive never before done event by Monday, June 24th and later next week I will provide you with a confirmation e-mail and an advance look at the trailer to allow you time to craft your post as well as a YouTube embed code that will go live on Tuesday, July 2nd at 9:00am PST. Please note, for this stunt to work, you will need to schedule your post to go live at this exact time because we will be sending out a press release to the world’s media with a list of everyone’s site that is participating.
