The Back-to-School First Aid Fun Mickey Giveaway

Mickey Band-Aids And Neo To Go

One of the things I like to do right after the boys go back to school is take a couple of days to go through the house and see what needs replacing and what needs to go. It’s the best time to go through closets and pack up summer clothes that have been outgrown or just worn out. It’s also a great time to go through the medicine cabinet and replenish my stock of first aid items. While we use more first aid products during the summer, some people actually use more first-aid products once school starts up. No matter which type of family you have, now’s a great time to check your inventory and stock up.

CJ still gets upset when he gets boo-boos. If he gets a boo-boo he looks for a hug and a kiss, and a Band-Aid. I give the hug and kiss immediately. Before I put on a Band-Aid I put on Neosporin. In CJ’s case I hide the Neosporin under the Band-Aid, since he doesn’t like “medicine” type of stuff put on. I’ve used Neosporin since I was young, my parents always had it in the house and my Dad swore it helped prevent infections. It obviously works, since it’s the #1 Doctor Recommended Brand for over 25 years. And, no other triple antibiotic ointment kills more types of bacteria then even the leading prescription based in laboratory results. My son doesn’t complain about me putting the Neosporin on if he sees a fun Mickey Band-Aid in my hand. After all. kids love their favorite characters, and he’s no exception. Using the Neosporin makes me feel good that I’ve done what I can to care for the boo-boo. Using Mickey Band-Aids (or other characters like Cars) makes the boo-boo a little less scary for him. Plus they look and stick better then the cheapy ones.

Point of interest. Neosporin recently introduced Neo To Go, a 0.26 fl oz (7.7ml) non-aerosol spray. The spray can be used with one hand and doesn’t require any touching or application. The small spray can easily fit into your purse, pocket, or backpack. They came out with this product because they discovered that approximately 60% of scrapes and 40% of cuts occur outside the home. I have it in my purse right now but if my son likes having it sprayed on better than the ointment I may get another for the medicine cabinet.

Mickey Band-Aids are available at Target and with a suggested price of $3.49. Neosporin is available at mass retailers for around $5.00.
