P&G’s Most Loved Products – With Giveaway And #PGMostLoved Twitter Party Info

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/P&G. Please note that any personal opinions reflected in this post are my own and have not been influenced by the sponsor in any way.

P&G’s Most Loved Products

Recently I received a box chock full of  P&G’s “most loved” products as a member of the SheSpeaks program. I’m not even kidding when I say that the box was chock full, there was a lot in there! The products were all from brands that we all know:

  • Bounty
  • Cascade
  • Charmin
  • CoverGirl
  • Dawn
  • Febreze
  • Gillette
  • Olay
  • Pantene
  • Swiffer
  • Tide
  • Venus

I know, that’s a lot of brands! Some of these products we were familiar with and already use, and some were new to us.

The one thing about Tide detergent that always amazes me is that it’s scent always seems to linger, for much longer then other detergents. I may be weird but I happen to like the smell of clean laundry. The Tide Pods immediately got moved to the laundry room, express no stops. We’re very familiar with Bounty and we use quite frequently.

P&G’s Most Loved Products

I was very interested to see the CoverGirl Perfect Point Pencil eyeliner. Eyeliner and lip gloss are my two favorite cosmetic items. I’m picky about my eyeliner and was jut getting ready to begin a search for a new one. I’m looking forward to trying this one. I’ll choose lip gloss over lipstick any day of the week. The CoverGirl Outlast double lipshine is not a lipstick and not quite a lip gloss, so I’m very interested to see how I like it.

P&G’s Most Loved Products

My son saw the contents of the box on the table and absconded with the shampoo. We discovered a couple of months ago that he absolutely loves the Pantene. He likes that it’s 2 in 1 because he doesn’t have to spend the time conditioning. The child goes through body wash like it’s nothing, so I know from experience that the Gillette hydrating body wash will be put to good use. Hubby tried to get it but wasn’t quick enough. I took the Venus razors. It’s been a long cold winter and summer’s coming. I’ll need them before I put shorts on.

Be sure to watch your Sunday newspaper for brandSAVER® coupon booklets containing savings on some of P&G’s “Most Loved” products such as the ones above.

P&G Beauty Products Deal At CVS This Week – With $50 GC Giveaway

CVS P&G Buy 50 Get 15 Offer

I have never been good at doing anything with my hair. I can be shown how to do something in a salon and not be able to do it at home. I just have no natural talent for hair like some women. It took me quite some time to get the hang of using mousse correctly. For the first month or two that I tried using it I’d always use either too little or too much. Eventually I did figure it out. One of my favorite brands is Aussie, because they smell so good. I’ve got some hair care tips from P&G Beauty Expert Marsha Chilko.

Long Lasting Curls

Help dry hair hold its style with this easy trick.

1. Treat hair with Aussie’s Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner and blow dry on a low heat setting.

2. Separate hair into 2″ sections and curl one at a time.

3. After curling each section, pin the curl up for a few minutes. This will help the curl set as it cools for a longer-lasting style.

Sleek & Straight Hair for a Luscious Look

1. Wash and condition your hair with the Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Collection.

2. Spray Set Me Up extra hold spray gel throughout wet hair.

3. Use a hair drier to dry your hair until damp.

4. Pin back a 2-inch section of hair at a diagonal.

5. Blow dry your hair completely, repeating section by section, using a paddle brush to smooth as you go.

6. Expert tip: Angle your hair dryer away from the roots, following the brush, to keep your hair smooth.

7. Smooth a flat iron through each section of hair.

There’s currently a great deal on P&G beauty products going on at CVS Pharmacy. You can use your CVS/pharmacy ExtraCare Card for bargains on the following Aussie and Herbal Essences products.

Get 2 Herbal Essences® Hello Hydration Shampoo or Conditioner (10.1oz) for $6
Get 2 Aussie® Moist Shampoo or Conditioner (13.1oz) for $6
Plus, get an additional $1 off when you scan your ExtraCare Card!
That’s almost $3.60 in savings on 2!

The deals are in effect from March 3 through March 9, 2013. That’s not all. Until April 30, if you purchase $50 worth of P&G beauty products at CVS you will receive a $15 Visa gift card via  mail-in rebate. Some of the participating brands Aussie, Herbal Essences, CoverGirl, Pantene, Secret, Venus, Ivory, Clairol, Olay, Head & Shoulders, Puffs and Vidal Sassoon.

P&G give Hope - Giuliana Rancic

Did you know that one in eight women will get breast cancer in her lifetime? One in eight! That’s equivalent to an inner-circle of friends, or the women in an extended family. Fortunately, there is hope. When breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is 98 percent. That’s why it is critical for women to create an early detection plan. Because early detection saves lives.

Since the month of October is extremely cluttered with breast cancer awareness news, we’re launching our P&G GIVE Hope campaign a little early this year. While our timing may have moved a little, our message is squarely focused on early detection and activation. Ultimately, we want women to perform a breast self-exam and create an early detection plan. In fact, we encourage you to stop reading and perform your self exam right now (and remind the ladies in your life to do the same). Go ahead, we’ll wait.

The 2012 GIVE Hope campaign includes our “Do It For the Girls!” day of action and Twitter party hosted by Giuliana Rancic, (E! News anchor and breast cancer survivor) on Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. ET and a Facebook app which goes live on Sept. 17 and allows users to donate $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (up to $25,000) just by performing a self exam, telling us about it and changing their cover photo to a GIVE Hope hand. Also this year we have two P&G brandSAVER coupon booklets that will be distributed in most local newspapers across the nation on Sept. 30 and Oct. 14. For each coupon redeemed from these books, P&G will donate $0.02 and $0.01 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation respectively (uncapped).

Do It For the Girls! Twitter Party Details:

· When: Thursday, September 20 at 3 p.m. ET
· Where: Twitter – follow @pgmygive, @giulianarancic, @NBCF and #GIVEHope
· Why: To rally women everywhere to perform a breast self exam, create an early detection plan and take control.
· In addition to sharing some lifesaving information, we will also be giving away some great prizes. Participants can RSVP for the DIFTG Twitter party here to be eligible to win the grand prize!

American Greetings Properties and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Launch Third Annual National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Campaign with Strawberry Shortcake™

Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands Return this September to Raise Funds and Awareness for Childhood Cancer Research

New York, NY (September 11, 2012) – American Greetings Properties, the intellectual property and outbound licensing division of American Greetings Corporation (NYSE: AM), and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer, are once again teaming up for a berry special campaign this September in support of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Pop culture icon Strawberry Shortcake™ is enlisting families across the country to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands to raise funds and awareness for the cause. The campaign, now in its third year, has raised more than $150,000 in support of research projects dedicated to finding a cure for all kids with cancer.

Over 1,000 volunteers across the country have taken part in the Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands including Emmy-nominated actress Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) who hosted her own stand with her family in Los Angeles. Families can sign up to host Strawberry Shortcake Alex’s Lemonade Stands during the month of September at http://www.alexslemonade.org/campaign/strawberry-shortcake.

Volunteers will be provided with Strawberry Shortcake kits that include vouchers for strawberry lemonade and branded materials to make their lemonade stand “stand” apart. In addition to the funds raised, American Greetings Properties will donate $50 to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the first 300 stands registered in September which will go toward research of the disease that affects over 12,000 children in the United States each year.

“We are very happy to be partnering Strawberry Shortcake with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for the third year in a row and look forward to making this September bigger than ever,” said Gabrielle Oliff, vice president brand and marketing for American Greetings Properties. “Strawberry Shortcake is all about proving that little girls can do big things and Alex Scott and our young strawberry lemonade stand hosts around the country have done just that and made a real difference in the world.”

“Each year we strive to raise the profile of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to elevate September to the same status that other awareness months have attained,” said Liz Scott, co-executive director of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and Alex’s mom. “We have been honored to have the continuing support of Strawberry Shortcake in helping us to achieve that mission and are thrilled to once again team up to help fight kids’ cancer during an integral time for the childhood cancer community.”

Strawberry Shortcake debuted in 1980 as a line of social expressions products, as well as toys, videos, games, crafts and books. The character quickly catapulted from being a little girl with a mop of red yarn curls into superstardom. Since 2002 the property generated more than $4 billion in worldwide retail sales and sold 5 million small dolls. Now a whole new generation of young girls and their moms are rediscovering the freckle face little girl. Strawberry Shortcake is currently the star of her own television series, Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures, which is one of the highest rated programs on The Hub television network for girls ages 2-5. For more information on Strawberry Shortcake, visit www.strawberryshortcake.com or www.facebook.com/StrawberryShortcake.

Celebrate The Olympics And Moms With P&G And Costco – And A Giveaway

P&G Costco Thanks Mom

My Mom has always tried to help me be my best person. She worked hard to make sure I had a decent life growing up. She loved and still loves me with all her heart. She tried hard to teach me right from wrong. She taught me the value of a good education. She taught me to always try to say what I mean. From Scouts to soccer to swim meets, she was there. That’s what good Moms do. And it didn’t stop when I became an adult. She’s always there to provide an ear or a shoulder. Heck, she even reads both of my blogs every day. Thanks Mom. You’re a wonderful Mom and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

As you probably know, the Olympics kicked off this week. P&G, the Proud Sponsor of Moms for the London 2012 Olympic Games, is celebrating moms around the world and saying “Thank you, Mom.” Two people they are recognizing are three-time Olympian and World Champion Water Polo Player Brenda Villa and her mom, Rosario. Brenda has become the successful water polo player that she is because of the support from her mom. As Brenda began to excel at water polo, her mom, a Mexican immigrant, encouraged her to pursue her goals and dreams in a completely unfamiliar sport. When raising children, especially athletes, Rosario gives this advice to moms “Encourage them, support them and allow them to follow their dreams. Make sure you give them the confidence to follow their own values and beliefs and stay true to themselves.” Recently P&G hosted a special send off celebration for the Olympian and her mom at a Los Angeles Costco Wholesale warehouse to remind shoppers of the important role that moms play in helping their children reach their full potential. To keep that celebration and thanks for moms everywhere going, P&G has put together a special prize pack for this giveaway. The prize pack contains brands that are known to perform well and are all available at everyday reasonable prices at Costco.
