REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY – French Toast School Wear

French Toast Photo

When I was originally contacted by the folks at French Toast asking me if I wanted to review their clothing, I almost said no. Why? They make uniforms. Despite the fact that almost one in four public schools now have a dress code, neither of my boys wear uniforms to school so at first I didn’t think that we’d be able to use their clothing. Fortunately I thought about it a bit more and accepted the review.

French Toast Official School Wear™ is America’s leading brand of school uniform. Since 1958, our company has provided families with quality children’s wear and boys and girls school uniforms at great prices. Our selection of uniform styles and sizes is second to none, from toddler size uniforms through young adult, French Toast carries over 6,000 individual colors, styles and sizes in stock, all year round!

So why did I accept the review? Simple. The clothes on the website looked nice and rather un-uniformlike. It’s hard to find nice clothes at reasonable prices for CJ. So much of the mass merchandise stuff has graphics on it that just aren’t appropriate for him. I was to receive four long sleeve pique polo shirts.

French Toast Polo Colors

Able to choose the colors I wanted, I chose yellow, heather gray, blue and navy. The colors of the shirts looked just like the colors shown on the website – a big plus. I hate when you order something thinking it’s one color and then when it arrives you find out it’s another color. The shirts were definitely quality, they were nice, soft and thick, not thin like some of the shirts you find in mass merchandise stores. Which brings me to the price. Pricing of the French Toast clothing is pretty reasonable. The shirts I received sell for $9.98 each. The cheap, thin shirts at mass merchandise sell for almost that much and don’t always hold up very well, those decals always seem to fade or come off partially. The French Toast polo shirts have worn and washed very well, not losing anything in quality and not shrinking. The shirts pair well with everything, from dress pants to jeans to sweats. I am very pleased with them.

French Toast is a great value–washes and wears excellently. I hagted uniforms as a kid for myself; however, when my own kids gor to that age I could see the value of them–too much cost, competition, and inappropriate clothing at times.
