Wendy’s Boneless Wings

Since having surgery I’ve had almost no bread. Earlier this week TJ and I were running around doing errands. Tj got hungry and asked if we could stop go through the Wendy’s drive thru because he was hungry. Since my errands weren’t finished yet I agreed. I knew he’d be getting a Baconator. I love Wendy’s burgers but haven’t been having much bread since surgery. I figured I’d just treat myself to a small Frosty (so yummy!). Then I remembered that Wendy’s had new Boneless Wings and I’d promised Mom Central to share my opinion about them. Boneless wings it was!

Wendy’s new boneless chicken wings are made with 100% whole chicken breast and are hand tossed in one of three flavors - Bold Buffalo, Honey BBQ, and Sweet & Spicy Asian Chicken. I decided to try the Honey BBQ as I don’t like super hot or super spicy things and I wasn’t sure about the other two flavors. There were eight wings in the container. The sauce was sweet and mildly tangy, just right for me. The wings had a thin layer of breading on them and were smothered in the sauce. I think it’s great that there’s a boneless chicken on the menu that’s a little more grown up than nuggets. I really enjoyed the flavor and will order them again.

You can learn more about the new Boneless Wings by visiting www.Wendys.com.

Wendy’s Frosty Father’s Day

TJ and a friend wanted to go to the movies yesterday. We did a couple of errands on the way. With an hour until the movie started the boys were hungry. TJ asked if we could stop at Wendy’s. TJ and I usually do not agree about fast food and fast food restaurants but one thing we agree on is that Wendy’s Frosty’s are awesome. I got the little one and he got the large.

As it turns out, Wendy’s has had a tradition of holding Father’s Day Frosty Weekend. This is the third year they’ve held it. During Father’s Day weekend Wendy’s donates 50 cents from the sale of each Frosty to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The money raised goes to the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, which funds full-time adoption recruiters at local agencies across the U.S., who in turn pair up parents with foster care children needing homes.

Your kids can contribute to this worthy cause right from home. Kids can go to FrostyCard.com and create Father’s Day ecards. For every card they send Wendy’s will donate an additional 25 cents to the Dave Thomas Foundation.

I felt good knowing that a decision we made to stop at Wendy’s and get Frosty’s helped others. I had CJ “help” me create a card for his father, which was great because it made RB feel good and it helped others.

There’s still time to go to Wendy’s today and get a Frosty. What are you waiting for?
