Ultimate Blog Party 2010 - Welcome Party Goers! - Yummy Smelling Giveaway

My name is Valerie, valmg for short online. I’m from New Jersey and I love it here. I married at 18 and have been married for almost 24 years. I am the mother of two beautiful boys ages 10 and 14. My youngest has Down Syndrome, my oldest has Wears Too Much Body Spray Syndrome (look out girls!). I HATE the misuse of the word retarded. I take it personally and find it very offensive. I love cats, and have a HUGE weakness for the Himalayan breed. (My avatar on many sites is a pair of cats I had a while back.) I love rock and roll, my favorite is the band Hinder. I graduated high school at age 15. I have lost more than 100 pounds since April 17, 2009. I love to try body washes, I love nice smelling things.

WAIT!

As promised, I’m going to share a story with you about one of my most embarrassing moments. RB and I used to stay in the back room off the bottom of my parents house, which has a wood/coal stove on the bottom floor. I can get a bit umm, enthusiastic, when I’ve having a good time. Any good time - at a Nascar race, singing at a Hinder concert and yes, having sex as well. So. We were in our room off the back of the house. Apparently the rest of the house was getting cold so my Dad went to feed the stove, which was right outside our door. Dad overheard me “having a good time” and wasn’t sure at first if I was having a good time or if my husband was killing me and I was praying and begging for mercy. My Dad did not knock on the door but did tell mention the next day how embarrassing it was. I was mortified and things were quite a bit quieter after that.

FYI - sex is about to be discussed.

I think everyone has a funny or embarassing story about sex. It might be something involving children. Like the time TJ walked in on us and we told him we were wrestling. His response? “But Mom, you hate wrestling!”

It might be something involving strangers. When I was in my early 20’s my friend Toni decided she wanted to purchase something to spice up her relationship with her boyfriend. She asked me to go with her to an adult book store. I’ve never been quite clear on why it was called a book store, there weren’t any books. They did carry some magazines, but for the most part they carried adult toys and movies. Anyway. We went to a store two towns over was so that we wouldn’t be seen by anyone we knew. We both felt eyes on us from the moment we walked in the door until we left, and they weren’t just on our faces. She was waited on by some old guy who leered at us and probably thought she and I were, you know, together. He rang up her purchase looking from her boobs to mine in what seemed to be a slow motion ping pong match except the only balls in play were those of the other guy behind the counter who kept adjusting himself. We had a lot of laughs about that trip and yet it was still kind of creepy. Too bad internet shopping hadn’t been around back then.

I learned about Eden Fantasys after reading about it on Mommy Melee. They had sponsored a giveaway for an adult toy on her site. I laughed so hard reading the entries in her contest that I had tears in my eyes and my sides ached. When I received an email offering me the opportunity to give away a gift certificate to the site I couldn’t pass it up.

Their search functions can be drilled down to certain specifics relating to personal preference, if you know what I’m saying. Let’s put it this way. You can choose the destination, the road to take, the size of the road, the size of the car, the type of transmission and the color of the car. No matter if you’re looking for an adult gift or a sex toy, Eden Fantasys probably carries it. They carry all sorts of things including candles and items for massage.

Yes I arrived a little late, but is that a surprise? I’d never participated in the Ultimate Blog Party before but when I kept seeing the buttons on lots of different sites that I visit I had to check out what it was all about.
