We love Disney in our house. Pooh and all of his friends are my very favorite characters. CJ and I cou;d sit and watch the Pooh movies for hours. This week the Pooh Heffalump Halloween movie is being released as part of a limited edition gift set. I collect Disney beanies, particularly the Pooh characters, so this gift set is a big hit in my house.

In the Pooh Heffalump Halloween Movie it is Halloween in the Hundred Acre Wood. Little Roo is excited that he’s going to accompany Lumpy (a young Heffalump) trick or treating and celebrating his first Halloween. Pooh is wanting a snack (isn’t he always?) and eats all of the Halloween candy in the Hundred Acre Wood. Rabbit offers his vegetables as treats but they’re just not the same.  Tigger tells the story of the Gobloon, a mysterious character that lives in the Tree of Terror that will grant one wish to the person that catches him. Roo decides he and Lumpy need to catch the Gobloon so they can wish for more candy. On their quest to find the Gobloon Roo and Lumpy face their fears and discover the meaning of friendship. The trek would not be the same if it didn’t include typical Hundred Acre Wood confusion.

We enjoyed the bonus features quite a bit. The Trick Or Retreat game was cute, you have to find the missing candy by deciding which trail to follow on the screen. CJ preferred the Pass The Pumpkin game and won almost every time.  We love the gift set. It’s a great edition to anyone that loves Pooh and Disney, or anyone that wants a totally adorable beanbag.

The DVD Gift set Includes:

*Original Pooh’s Heffalump Halloween Movie DVD
*Pooh Dressed as Tigger beanz plush

ORIGINAL DVD BONUS FEATURES

Fun Games including:

*Trick or Re-Treat
*Pooh’s Boo Bingo!
*Pass the Pumpkin

The Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary DVD Review

The Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary DVD

Available on DVD on August 4, 2009

Rated: U.S. G, Canada G

Total feature run time: 77 minutes

Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends are my favorite animated characters in the world. They always have been. My son CJ now shares that love. We have all of the Pooh movies on either VHS or DVD and some of them have been played so much they’re worn out. I was thrilled to be able to replace a worn out VHS when I recently reviewed Disney’s The Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary DVD.

The Tigger Movie is the story of Tigger’s search for his family. When Tigger (Jim Cummings) is asked about his family he realizes he’s never seen any so he decides to try and find them. He begins by writing a letter. When the letter goes unanswered Tigger’s friends decide to collaborate to create a fake letter so Tigger isn’t disappointed. Tigger discovers the ruse and sets out to find his family right in the middle of a big snowstorm. Worried, Tigger’s friends set out to find him. When they finally do, Tigger realizes that what he’s been looking for has been right before his eyes.

I loved this film just as much now as I did when I first saw it. I love the moral of the story. The colors are bright and vivid. Anybody that enjoys Disney movies, Pooh movies or animated movies will certainly want to add this to their collection. For those people like me that already owned it on VHS, get the DVD. Seeing all of the bright colors will make it like you’re seeing it all over again for the first time when compared to your worn out video tape. I’m so glad we have the DVD now, so CJ can continue to enjoy it for years to come.

The Tigger Movie 10th Anniversary DVD is a 2 disc set that contains the feature film, a digital copy of the movie to watch in Windows or iTunes formats, two new Tigger adventures (”King of the Beasties” and “Tigger’s House Guest”), games and music. It’s available for purchase both online and in retail stores nationwide.

TTFN!

I’m proud to say I love Winnie The Pooh

I stopped into Walmart to pick up a couple of things. As I was going through the store I stopped to look at a rack in the plus size women’s department that had nice character hoodies on it. I had just started looking and was admiring a nice Mickey top when two other women stopped at the rack. Woman 1 looked at one of the tops and says “Why do they think that all big people have to wear cutesy stuff like Winnie The Pooh? Why can’t they make nice stuff for big people like the stuff they make for the young women that you see in the skinny department? Who likes Winnie The Pooh anyway?” I looked at her and said “I like Winnie The Pooh. And there’s nothing wrong with wearing something cute if you like it.”If the women wants to shop in what she calls the skinny department, maybe she ought to read up on some Hydroxycut reviews.

So I ask you two things. Do you like Winnie The Pooh, or any other animated character? Do you think there’s something wrong with wearing something cute? Let’s hear it.

Pooh for poo makes my day!

This week the Parent Bloggers Network asked moms to speak up on what things they could give up and what they couldn’t live without. At first I thought I’d have quite a list of things I couldn’t live without. But, when I really thought about it, the list is shorter than I thought it would be. Sure, I love my Tivo, my MacBook Pro 17, my Sirius Satellite Radio, my Cuisinart coffee maker and my iPod, but I don’t need them to get through a day of motherhood.

I really only need one thing to get through a day of motherhood - wipes. I’ve had to wipe someone’s butt every day now for about 11 years. My current wipe of choice is Huggies Naturally Refreshing Baby Wipes with Cucumber & Green Tea. These things smell absolutely fantastic! They come in the minty green colored container, or if you’re really lucky you can find them in the Winnie the Pooh container. (Pooh can really brighten a day, don’t you think? I absolutely LOVE Winnie the Pooh.) Scented wipes are something I greatly appreciate. If you think baby poop starts smelling bad when they start eating, wait until you’ve smelled the poop of a nine year old! And they’re great for other things like quick passes over faces and cleaning little hands in a pinch. So yeah, wipes. I definitely can’t live without them.

Thanks to Yoplait Kids for sponsoring this weeks Parent Bloggers Network topic of discussion. My little guy loves Yoplait Kids yogurt. If yours do too, or if they’ve never tried it, print your own  $1.50 off coupon from Yoplait Kids and pick some up. Sorry, the coupon isn’t valid in Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, North Dakota, Tennessee or Canada.
