Recently we got an iPod Touch in our house. We had always charged our old iPod on a clock radio. We loved that something we had in the bedroom, an alarm clock, could be come so functional and enjoyable. Sadly, we learned that the clock radio unit we had was not compatible with the new iPod Touch. Fortunately we learned about the iHome IP41.
It’s terrific to be able to wake up to music (or movies) you know you like rather than a radio station playing songs you may or may not like. Anyone with wall outlets in hard to reach places like I have would appreciate not having to plug and unplug an ac adapter all the time - you just leave the unit plugged in and you have a stylish looking iPod or iPhone alarm clock and a place to charge it. The dock is universal and will play and charge most iPhones and most docking iPod models (docking connectors included). One really cool thing about this unit is that it turns sideways, to allow you to view video in widescreen while charging. The best thing about this unit is the sound - it rocks! The sound quality is fantastic for something so small. The EXB Expanded Bass and Reson8 speaker chamber technology make for a really full and rich sound. I was pleased to find it’s not too deep or tinny and the volume can get up there. We love the unit and are so happy we can once again use our iPod all the time.
