BigHeartCards review

BigHeartCards is a company that offers greeting cards online and allows shoppers to choose a charity to receive 10% of the profits they make. In case you’re wondering, I don’t mean electronic cards - I mean real greeting cards. The site is attractive and easy to navigate. When you register for the site you choose a charity. You can then browse by occasion, relationship and keyword. They carry a good variety of cards including birthday cards, holiday cards, announcements and invitations. After you select your card you can specify what text or photo you want to use to personalize it. Then your card is printed on #110 weight card stock with your message and the name of your charity on the back, postage added and mailed by US Mail.

VistaPrint Holiday Photo Cards review

Regular readers know that I like Vistaprint and recommend them highly. I think their products are some of the best values in stationery products out there. Many people don’t know that along with business cards, post cards, note cards, calendar magnets, business card magnets, window decals, address labels, rubber stamps and pens, VistaPrint also offers holiday photo cards.

VistaPrint has many styles of holiday photo cards. They have flat photo cards, folded photo cards and foil accented cards. They even offer collage cards that can show up to six pictures. All of the cards can be personalized with your own photos and text of your own.

Cards are easy to customize. The first step is to select your card from the hundreds of available designs. Then upload your picture (or pictures). The recommended resolution is a minimum of 300 ppi, and the maximum size the picture file can be is 10 mb.The next step is to enter the greeting you want on the front of the card. Then specify if you want the back of the card to be blank or contain text. That’s it! That’s all there is to making personalized photo holiday cards at VistaPrint. When checking out you’re shown any matching related products and given the option to add them, as is standard with any VistaPrint purchase. Last, choose your delivery option and pay and you’re finished.

I love photo cards. They seem so much more personal then text cards. I’m running late this year, I have to get to work on our holiday cards today or tomorrow. Have you written or sent our your holiday cards yet?

Who doesn’t love custom cards!

HolidayCard Each year some time between October and mid-December I start my quest for the perfect holiday card. I never find it. I have only actually truly liked the Christmas cards we got once, they were Winnie the Pooh cards that were able to hold our photos. I have not seen cards exactly like those ever again. That’s what’s great about custom cards, you can make whatever you want.

Earlier today in my internet travels I came across the Cards Direct website. They carry lots of photo greeting cards and custom greeting cards. I found lots of nice cards, it would be very difficult to decide on which one to get if I were ordering. But it would not be difficult to design our cards. Once on the site, just select the card you like. Once you select your card and the quantity you need you get to customize it. You’ll start by uploading your own picture and choosing horizontal or vertical orientation. then you can either use the provided verse for inside the card or you can write your own. You can choose the style, color and size of the font the text is in. Then choose your envelopes and you’re all set and ready to finalize your order. Easy stuff. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard of them before, considering they have been in business for almost ten years and are considered one of the most reputable and well known custom card printers out there. I like these cards, I must remember Cards Direct when we need cards again.
