How do you feel about fundraisers?
Tell the truth. Do you cringe when someone asks you to buy something from a school fundraiser? I often do, and here’s why. I don’t want to spend my hard earned money on over priced food or gift wrap. I’d rather buy things that support and promote the organization I’m being asked to help support. I’m a member of three PTAs and recently when one of the PTAs asked for suggestions for fund raisers, I suggested custom silicone bracelets. They’d look nice and could carry all sorts of messages to promote the organization. ARC Marketing carries not only the exact type of bracelets I was referring to, but they also carry custom car magnets, which I had also suggested. Both of these items would last a whole lot longer than food or gift wrap, and would help promote the organization. Wouldn’t that make for a better fund raiser? I think so. I think PTAs and sports teams would have a more successful fundraiser by offering these items. I think that adults would be more likely to buy. I think students themselves would buy, perhaps even give them as little gifts. The customization would enable the organization to actually send a message or make a point. If you’re planning a fundraiser, take a look at these items and give it some thought.
