REVIEW – Beauty And The Beast 3D And Tangled Ever After
While in New York City last month for the #DisneyDreamWorksEvent War Horse premiere I had the opportunity to attend advance screening of The Beauty And The Beast in 3d. Before they played that movie for us they presented us with another treat – an early viewing of the new short Tangled Ever After.
In Tangled Ever After, Rapunzel and Eugene are on their way to the altar to get married. Of course their wedding wouldn’t be complete without Maximus and Pasqual, whose job is to hold the rings. Mishaps happen, as they often do at wedding ceremonies, and the race is on to see if the rings can be retrieved before the couple says I do and before it’s discovered the rings are missing. I loved this new short Tangled Ever After, and wished that the story had been developed into a full length movie.

Here’s a brand new clip from Tangled Ever After called “The Pursuit”.
After Tangled Ever After we watched Beauty And The Beast in 3D.

For those of you unfamiliar (hey don’t laugh, I hadn’t seen it until two years ago), here’s the symopsis for Beauty And The Beast. (Or feel free to read my Beauty And The Beast Blu-ray review.)
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ magical classic “Beauty and the Beast” returns to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D™, introducing a whole new generation to the Disney classic with stunning new 3D imagery. The film captures the fantastic journey of Belle (voice of Paige O’Hara), a bright and beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast (voice of Robby Benson) in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff—a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others—and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.
Featuring unforgettable music by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, and an enormously talented vocal ensemble, “Beauty and the Beast” was the first animated feature to receive a Best Picture nomination from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

MY THOUGHTS
I loved Beauty And The Beast on Blu-ray. It’s one of my favorite Disney movies so I loved having the opportunity to see it in a theater. The characters are absolutely adorable, I LOVE Chip, he’s so cute! The sound was extremely full and crisp, and the colors were beautiful, bright and bold. I found that the 3D added a fullness to the movie more then the illusion of 3D things coming at you, something for which I was grateful.
Here’s the trailer for Beauty And The Beast in 3D.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST returns to theatres for the first time in 3D on January 13, 2012! THAT’S TODAY!!!! You may have seen this movie on DVD, or even VHS, but there’s nothing like seeing it in the theater. Make tonight a date night, because it is a romance. Or plan a family movie night for this weekend and take the kids. Either way, be sure not to miss it because the opportunity to see it will be gone before you know it and then you’ll be sorry, like I was for not making time to see it the first time it was out. It took me like ten years to see it after that. Don’t let that happen to you.
All expenses were covered by Disney & DreamWorks. Please note that as always my opinions are my own, and that the opinions reflected in this post have not been influenced by the sponsor in any way.

I wish so badly that 3D movies didn’t give me motion sickness, because this is a movie I would love to see in 3D! I am actually have music from the film played at my wedding as we walk down the aisle – love this movie so much!
To see this on a big screen had to be a thrill! Watching the trailer I am in awe with all the details in the background.! Glad to hear they did not have much of the coming at you effect with the 3D.
Thanks for sharing.
Paige O’Hara ruled as Beauty, A beauty she is.
