When I received an iPad 2 I knew that I wanted to take care of it, since it’s one of the nicest things that I own and I love it and want to take care of it. I purchased the Acase Slim Leather Case For iPad 2 on Amazon after researching cases for a couple of weeks. I chose this case because it was a slim leather case, and because it held the iPad by “clips”, instead of the straps that some cases use that I think detract from the look of the iPad. The case arrived and functioned as it was supposed to for 2 months. After 2 months of semi-regular gentle use, the clips let go and would no longer hold the iPad. Here’s a brief video showing what happened.
I emailed the company and got no response. I Tweeted them and got no response. I left them several messages on Facebook. Finally they left a message underneath mine that they were sending a replacement. I have never received that replacement. There has been no further correspondence on their part. I am disappointed, because the case broke, and even more so because of their dreadfully poor customer service. I am sharing this with you because I know that iPad cases are something many people buy and I don’t want any of you to buy a case that will not protect your ipad.
