Better Homes and Gardens is currently hosting the first ever State Fragrance Contest. All 50 states are competing for the honor of being the most highly voted “State Fragrance” as listed on the Better Homes and Gardens Facebook page! The exciting thing about that is that I’m representing the state of New Jersey!
To participate I was asked to use Better Homes And Gardens Wax Cubes to concoct a fragrance that I felt represented my state. First I went to Walmart and got a wax burner. There were a number of pretty ones to choose from!
Then it was time to create the fragrance. For inspiration, I thought it would be fun to incorporate scents that I felt represented me and reminded me of the Jersey shore.
There are many scents of wax cubes to choose from. I decided to go with a scent made from a blend of Creamy Tahitian Coconut, Wild Berry Cheesecake, Candied Caramel Pecan, and Butterscotch Maple Cream. I call it Summer Sweetness At The Jersey Shore. I picked those particular scents because during a typical summer at the Jersey shore you can smell the coconut of suntan oils, butterscotch and nuts from the ice cream and candy shops on the boardwalks, berries from the produce stands, and cheesecake from the bakery. (And because I LOVE cheesecake.) The wax burner looks pretty and the smell is gentle and lingering.
If you think this will smell good I hope you’ll take one moment to vote for me in the State Fragrance Contest on the BHG Live Better page (http://www.facebook.com/BHGLiveBetter). Thanks!
I received a gift card to use to purchase a wax burner and wax cubes. This review has not been monetarily compensated and is based on the views and opinions of my family and/or self. Please note that the opinions reflected in this post have not been influenced by the sponsor in any way.
