No, not my pocket.
Right before vacation (early August) I noticed that an open Oreo package was torn and semi destroyed. I figured that hubby or TJ had manhandled the package. A couple of days later the same thing happened with a Chips Ahoy package. I went on vacation and didn’t think anything of it. When I came back i stopped at the grocery store for the necessities – milk, bread and Oreos. I bought a package of triple Oreos that are new. The next day I opened the cabinet and saw that the Oreo package had been all torn, like the two packages before it. Then I saw tiny little black specks. I had hubby come in the kitchen, where we decided we must have a mouse. i called my Dad. That’s what I do whenever I have a problem of any sort.
My Dad came down and checked the cabinet and confirmed it was mouse droppings that we’d seen, and that it was mouse teeth that ravaged my cookie package. He said the cabinet needed to be emptied so we could try and figure out where it was coming in. He and I emptied the cabinet together. At one point he saw the cap on an olive oil bottle had been chewed and went to throw it away. Before he made it to the kitchen door he saw something else – the mouse. The mouse had chewed off the olive oil cap and fallen into the olive oil and drowned. Yes, that’s right, he was in the olive oil! Can you believe it? Had I not seen it with my own eyes I might not have believed it.
Dad assures me that there’s always more than one mouse. So I visited the store and went to this display.

I got traps of two types. We caught one at 2:30 am this morning. We’re going to keep at it until we’re sure they’re gone.
Damned cookie eating mice! I really wanted to try those Oreos!

I wouldn’t be able to sleep until I knew they were all gone. Scary!
They’re tiny but it doesn’t matter, I don’t want them here. Ewww. So fr besides the one that took a nose dive into the olive oil we’ve caught two.
