For Halloween this year a spooky pumpkin by the name of Spookley sends a message to kids about the topic of bullying. The Legend of Spookley, the Square Pumpkin is an animated book which touches on a big issue that it is our differences that make us special. The book written by Joe Troiano and illustrated by Susan Banta has earned Spookley a place in representing National Bullying Prevention Month. There are several events in New Jersey this weekend, including book signings, with giveaways, costumes and readings at Barnes and Noble in Livingston NJ (October 30th at 1 pm ) and in Springfield (Oct. 29th at 2 pm). Come meet the author and share a great Halloween story.
