REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY – SmartSole Exercise Insoles

SmartSoles 1

Did you ever think about how much you walk each day? Even on days that I am not walking for exercise I do a lot of walking around the office and around the house. My first major weight goal is in sight and I want to use every means possible to reach it. Over the summer the folks that make the SmartSole Exercise Insole asked me to review their product.

About the SmartSole Exercise Insole – The SmartSole™ Exercise Insole helps you burn more calories & tone muscles with every step you take. It’s like having a gym in your shoe! … SmartSole™ enables your foot to go through a gentle rolling motion enabling the heel, arch and then toe to touch the ground in sequence. Cushion, roll forward, and then roll off. Comfortably. Naturally, like you’re walking barefoot on sand. This optimal gait stimulates your metabolism, speeds up muscle regeneration and works to tone and tighten your legs and butt.

I accepted the review. What could it hurt, right?

SmartSoles 2

I have big, wide feet. Boats, basically. The SmartSole comes in three sizes for women – Small 5 1/2 – 8, Medium 8 1/2 – 11, and Large 11 1/2 – 14. The sizes are unisex, so for men they can fit shoe sizes sizes 7 1/2 – 13. I got a size Large and immediately started wondering before they’d arrived if I’d gotten the wrong size and how they’d fit. I didn’t have to wait long to find out. My SmartSoles arrived quickly. The SmartSole consisted of a hard gray plastic heel cup that sits in the bottom of the shoe, covered by a thick, cushiony green gel insert that is designed to reduce and redistribute shock.

SmartSoles 3

I have to wear black walking shoe/sneakers to work every day, five days a week. I chose to put my SmartSoles in them. They were  yeart or so old and getting sort of flat and at the end of some days my feet hurt. Surprisingly, the insole right right into my shoes and didn’t wiggle around. Ok, size issue addressed – they are sized like they say they are. Next question. How would my feet fit in them and how would my feet feel. For those wondering how one thing can fit several sizes, the insoles do not take up the entire inside of your shoe. I’d actually call them more of an insert than an insole, as they sit in the back of the shoe. SmartSoles can be put into any shoe with a back. Once you place them into your shoes just put your shoes on and carry on with your daily routine. My feet fit into the insoles perfectly. They were surprisingly comfortable, something I wasn’t expecting. After wearing these for over a month I can honestly say that I’m more comfortable in them than out of them. You can feel the arch support, both in the shoes and when you take your shoes off. My feet don’t hurt the way they used to either.

SmartSoles retail for $29.99 per pair and are available for purchase online at smartsoles.com.
