The DVD also includes interactive games, music videos, Resources for Parents and coloring pages for even more entertainment.
I’d never seen this show before. Super Why is a children’s show that incorporates the alphabet, spelling, words and reading. The characters include Alpha Pig with alphabet power, princess Presto with spelling power, Wonder Red with word power and Super Why with the power to read. Oh and there’s one more character – Super YOU (yes you) with power to help. I like the way the show involves the viewers by asking them to help, by looking for things. In a way I was reminded of Blue’s Clues, one of CJ’s all time favorite shows. Each time the viewers find a super letter it is entered into a computer, a la the notebook from Blue’s Clues. The colorful episodes are interesting to children while also being educational.
