One thing that reminds me of my dad is going fishing. We had many happy times trying (usually unsucessfully) to catch fish.

The thing that reminds me the most of my dad is the smell of coffee! He drinks black coffee several times a day, and that smell will forever be linked with memories of him, sitting on his lap talking and smelling the ‘yucky’ coffee in his cup.

My father was a kind-hearted soul, he loved to talk, and could make friends with anyone — not necessarily traits I share. He was retired Air Force and a United Methodist minister. Every time I hear something about the military or pass a church I think of him — that’s often :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!

I think the traits I inherited from my dad are a passion for learning, love for books and stubbornness :) As a result we often end up arguing heatedly over many things but in the end we still manage to agree to disagree. Like him, I can be a stubborn and loyal friend.

Not only do my father and I look a lot alike having the same blue eyes and facial features, my father and I both are very logical and yet very sensative people. We are both logical in that we always have to have ask a lot of questions, have all the facts and weigh the pros and cons before making a decision or coming to a conclusion. We are both very sensative in that we can get our feeling hurt easily and we are very caring towards others and work in the Social Services field of helping others to better their lives.

I inherited my perfectionism from my dad. We both expect a lot from ourselves and other people. This trait has both good and bad qualities. We push ourselves to better and do the best we can. It can also stress us out! No matter what, we support each and our “imperfections” – I love my daddy!
