I Need Sandals Or I’ll Have To Wear A Halloween Costume On My Feet

The strap on my cork sandals broke. Needing a new pair I stopped in a store on my way home today. There was not a single pair of sandal to be found except for a few leftover flip flops. I hate flip flops, I don’t like the thong between my toes. I found some Halloween decorations though. What the hell? It was over 100 degrees this week and I am far more concerned with trying to stay cool then what someone might be wearing in three and a half months. I tried a total of five stores today – Target, Walmart, Kmart, Payless and Kohls. No luck in any of them. Most of the stores didn’t have many sandals at all. Am I supposed to buy summer shoes in the winter, when I don’t know if I’ll want them or need them? It’s freaking July! I guess it makes sense, to people who buy their Halloween candy now. I need a pair of sandals!
