Good Visit With The Cardiologist

I went to the cardiologist yesterday for a checkup. I love the doctor but his waiting room is frequently crowded, between the patients, their belongings and maybe even a couple of portable oxygen concentrators. If you aren’t busy it’s a pretty safe bet that someone near you will try to strike up a conversation about anything, from CPAP machines to soap operas. I was lucky and I got in within ten minutes. Turns out it was a smart idea to go early. My ekg was fine and he said that my cholesterol and other bloodwork were spectacular. he said he’s very proud of the weight loss and general status of my health. He did suggest I follow up with my pulmonologist to discuss the status of my sleep apnea and possible changes to the machine or the CPAP Masks. In the end the doctor was so pleased that he said I only have to come for a check up once a year now. Yay!

You can look at it as tho your Dr. is popular because he knows his stuff, and the waiting room is full because he cares enough to listen to his patents, which takes a few minutes more. That will help make a wait easier to bear. Happy you do not need to make this a more frequent appointment.

He moved me to only an annual visit, which makes me so happy. I know they get busy because it’s a group and they’re all well liked. I still prefer first am appointments, very rarely kept waiting for those.

Soooo…I am interested in knowing about the sleep apnea thing. I think my husband has this and he WONT go in for an appointment. So, obviously there is a breathing dysfunction but does it then affect your cardio health?

Since i dont know you…just to also congratulate you on the points you covered…good health is SO hard to find in our crazy world these days. Yay for you!

His waiting room really has people waiting. Don’t know why so many offices can’t schedule better. I wonder if it is much like airplane policy with overbooking.
