100 – An Announcement And Time For Audience Participation

272 drs scale

It’s official! I’VE OFFICIALLY LOST 100 POUNDS!

Actually I’ve lost 102 pounds. I went to the surgeon’s office this afternoon for a fill. I cried when I saw the scale. Then I jumped off the scale, grabbed my phone and jumped back on to take a picture. I was on a scale that said I’d lost 100 when I left for Disney Social Media Moms Celebration a few weeks ago but I don’t consider any weight official unless it comes from the surgeon’s scale. I’m less than one year out of surgery. I’m more than half way to my goal and I am so excited! I feel like I’ve had about fifty cups of extra caffeinated coffee. I just want to run in the streets and yell. Do you think the neighbors would mind?

So here’s a question for you. Hence the audience participation part.

I haven’t bought any new clothes since surgery except for a single pair of jeans. My underwear and pants are literally falling off of me. Last time I bought underwear there were only like two kinds. I was in the store today and now there are like fifty. What kind of underwear should I buy? Think comfy.

OMG – huge huge huge congratulations!!

I have no idea about the underwear since it’s been years since I’ve bought myself any new pairs! But I do like cotton – it’s so comfortable and breathes well.

Congratulations! I am a Hanes-Her-Way kind of girl. I like the hi-cut bikini or hi-cut brief. To me, it’s all about comfort!

Underwear must fit your body. I personally like full briefs; however, years ago when the waist band stretched and dropped while I was wearing a skirt–need I say more. I like the seamless stretch fabric ones now–they work up or down a few pounds but not 50 or 100.

I live for boyshorts. They have so many styles and colors as well as different lengths .They still offer some support and dont leave lines like many others do.

    Congratulations!!!

I prefer the Hanes All Cotton Bikini or High Cut. Bikinis if the pants are a lower waist.

Try to find a sale at Kohl’s or another store and buy some different styles of single pairs of underwear if you can to see what style you might like better.

You also definitely deserve a couple pair of “fun” undies.

    WTG Val!!!

I like low rise boy shorts. They don’t leave a pantyline, but they also cover you enough so you can walk around the house without feeling too exposed. I find that they are also very comfortable.

Thanks Karen. I hear a lot about boy shorts. Comfy is what I’m after, no wedgies, no thongs, no creep and a front that fits, umn, well. TMI?

Thanks Tiffany! Interestingly enough I am fairly sure that all of my underwear has always had seams. I didn’t realize there were seamless.

    Wow! Congratulations! Amazing weight loss.
Don’t know what to tell you about the underwear. I like the high cut, but the boy shorts (Hanes) are so much better for sleeping in. Thongs not so much comfy. Avoid if possible.

Thanks Pixie! I have never purposely worn a thong but have had underwear do that on it;s own and I was not a fan. I know people that wear them that swear they’re extremely comfortable.

That’s amazing!!!!! I’ve lost 25 lbs recently and felt like I had to fight for every pound. Losing 102 lbs is truly a tremendous achievement. All the best to you! Oh, underwear. I like Hanes cotton underwear. Tbink granny panties. I luv them.

    OMG, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Now, about the underwear….

Everyone is different, and I’m about 100lbs less but my favorite is high cut briefs, seamless microfiber. I get mine at Sam’s Club but I never paid attention to the sizes they have available.

I did however, wear them well into my pregnancy because they were so comfy.

I am sooooo happy for you on this amazing achievement!

I thought my head would explode – cotton, cotton stretch, nylon, who knows what. high cut, hi cut, low cut, bikini cut, brief, boy shorts, thong. WTF? What happened to underwear being underwear?
Do you want my thoughts on high cut now or later?
