YouCanMakeThis.com Personalized Craft Idea and giveaway

When my son TJ was born, one of the gifts that touched me the most was a set of small handmade pillows in the letters T and J. The pillows were made by my younger brother, LB2, in class in school. It struck me then, and remains with me now, how much he must have loved me and his new nephew to take the time and trouble to make those pillows. For the record, we still have those pillows thirteen years later.

Some people have the ability but not the expertise to make crafts. YouCanMakeThis.com is a site that offers a vast array of ebooks, all containing craft instructions.

www.YouCanMakeThis.com was created by a mom who wanted to provide downloadable instructions on how to make just about anything from children’s boutique clothing and jewelry, to handbags, home decor and more. What makes the site unique is that these instructions are written by everyday moms who have an expertise in an area. They are written in a way that makes you feel you have a friend sitting right next to you, telling you what to do next. They all have detailed instructions and step-by-step full-color photos so even the most “craft-challenged” person can make these items for their homes and families.

I received one of the new ebooks that YouCanMakeThis.com is now carrying - Personalized Name Pillows by Kimberbell Kids Patterns. I took a look through the book and found it easy to understand. The book includes step by step directions, pictures and upper case and lower case letter templates to base your cutting on. These personalized pillows would make a great gift for any child, or perhaps even a mother daughter project!

WIN IT!

Two winners will each receive the instructional ebook “Personalized Name Pillows”.

I would love this ebook! I definitely want to make a personalized name pillow for my daughter, Millie. I would also love to make them as gifts for me nephew and nieces, Braxton, Shelby, Reese, and Lauren. I guess that’s a total of 5 for now, and any other people that come up along the way once they see how cute they are!

Right off the bat I would make these pillows for my two youngest boys, who share a bedroom and love anything that identifies their part of the room. I would also make these as baby gifts. I’m always looking for ways to use up my scrap fabrics. I’m going to Stumble you now and then check out your mom’s blog.
