Yoplait Yo-Plus review and giveaway
Do you ever have to tell your family that certain foods in the house are off limits? Thanks to MyBlogSpark I got a coupon to try a new Yoplait yogurt flavor this week. I picked it up at the store and wanted to be sure that the rest of the family didn’t eat it before I had a chance to try it. After I tried it I knew I never would have gotten any if they’d gotten to it first, because it’s that good.

The yogurt I got to try is Yoplait Yo-Plus Blueberry Acai. Let me start by sharing what I learned about Yo-Plus and Acai, as I’d never had either before. Yo-Plus yogurts are a good source of fiber, calcium, vitamin A and vitamin D. What makes Yo-Plus yogurts different is that they contain a probiotic culture called Bifidobacterium, which is proven to help regulate your digestive health year-round. Acai is a berry that is produced by the Acai palm tree native to Central and South America. It’s pronounced ah-sah-EE, not ak-eye as I thought. From my reading I learned that Acai is full of antioxidants, amino acids and essential fatty acids.
I’d never tried any of the Yoplait Yo-Plus yogurts before. The container is shorter and wider than regular yogurt containers, and I thought it stacked more easily in the frig and was easier to get the yogurt out of. The Blueberry Acai flavor is very creamy but isn’t a custard style. One 4 ounce container is one serving and has 110 calories. I found the taste to be sweet (but not too sweet) and more like mixed berries than blueberries. I really enjoyed the flavor quite a bit because it had such a great combination of flavor and texture.
Yo-Plus is now offering a $1.50 off downloadable coupon for a 4-pack of yogurt at http://bricks.coupons.com/bstart.asp?o=55277&ci=1&c=GM&p=vZpuCdX5. You can also grab a $1.00 off coupon at http://www.yo-plus.com.
Yoplait Yo-Plus Yogurt is available in the following flavors – strawberry, cranberry raspberry, blackberry pomegranate, blueberry acai, vanilla, cherry and peach.

We try our best to fit more fruits and vegetables into our diet.
I would say eating more steamed veggies, and not buying so much junk food during the week.

I bring snacks and water with me when I leave the house. When I feel the need to eat or drink something, I don’t have to stop at the nearest fast food place…instead I eat my healthy snack!

I think the best thing is to think about what you are eatting before you eat it. It’s too easy to just eat whatever you come across, you need to think if there is a healthier option available!

I am really trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. I also try to just say no to ice cream. I don’t drive so I do a lot of walking. Thank you!
best tip is don’t buy junk food-keep a bowl of fruit or veggies to munch on-I love frozen grapes.
Drink skim or no fat milk at least three 8 oz glasses a day. Watch your carbs and eat fresh fruit and vegetables when reaching for a snack.

It’s not easy, because we all love sweets, but my best tip is to use the shopping cart as your first line of defense. Don’t fill it with junk, and you won’t bring home treats and junk food.
Drink lots of water especially before a meal so you feel fuller.
My tip that I have been using for a while – park as far away from the door that you safely can when at work or shopping. All those extra steps add up!
This year I have cut out soda from my diet. And that means I’m drinking plenty of water too. Those are great strides to becomming more healthy.

I try to stay healthy by making sure I am hydrated. I know that as you age you tend to not drink enough water. I am trying to make sure that I also get the amount of vitamins that are necessary.
I’m trying to get back to drinking water all day, instead of soda or sweer tea. I also do better when we keep less sweets in the house. If they’re here, I nibble all day.

I drink 64 oz of water a day, and it has definitely made a difference! At first it was tough but now it is completely natural, and my skin and energy levels have improved.
I make a weekly menu and stick to it! It has healthy items on it and saves me money!

I am using Lent to get myself healthier by giving up chocolate. I was on a bad path and I am hoping to use this to set me on a better course.

Drink water with a twist of lime or lemon in it instead of diet pop. It’s much healthier for you.
I try to move around as much as possible, which is hard, since I have a very comfortable couch. I also try to cook from scratch as much as possible to reduce the really fatty and salty pre-prepared foods we eat.
