Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Pirate Treasure DVD review

I’m rather picky about what I let my younger son CJ watch. I’m old fashioned in that I like “nice” cartoons and childrens’ shows such as those found on Nick Jr. One of the things I enjoy most about watching him grow up is watching how his tastes change and seeing which show will be his favorite next. One of the shows I’ve seen him checking out a couple of times is Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, which is why I was glad to accept an opportunity to review the newest Wubbzy DVD.

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Pirate Treasure is an 82 minute long DVD that contains a total of eight episodes.
There are five regular episodes.

  • Pirate Treasure
  • Wubbzy In The Woods
  • Walden On The Beach
  • The Grass Is Always Plaider
  • Goo Goo Grief

There are two bonus episodes, one of which hasn’t been seen before.

  • Everything’s Coming Up Wubbzy
  • Save The Wuzzly (never before seen)

CJ and I  really enjoyed watching the DVD. CJ’s favorite episode was Everything’s Coming Up Wubbzy because it involved lots of playing and running around. My favorite episode was The Grass Is Always Plaider, where Wubbzy and his friends learn that sometimes you’ve got things better than you realize, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side and that you should be satisfied and happy with what you have. Each episode is a short story that stands on it’s own, helpful for children that haven’t seen it yet. What I like the most about Wubbzy is that the show is simple and doesn’t talk down to children. It isn’t mean or hurtful, and it promotes positive messages.

The Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! Pirate Treasure DVD was released on March 24, 2009. It’s available to purchase in stores and online wherever DVDs are sold, including Amazon and Walmart.

It’s great when parents spend time doing kid things like playing or watching a video. They grow up so fast. Enjoy them now. Your memories are going to be theirs in time.
