My favorite book is "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Piccoult. (BTW_I did not like the movie b/c it was not very true to the book.). I like this book because it takes the time to explore relationships within families. Between mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, and mostly sister to sister. This book was so well written! Twists and turns that were unexpected. I loved this book and the characters!

My favorite book is the Bible! It's the same, yesterday, today and forever, it doesn't change. I remember when I was little going loving the Word of God and knew I had to have him in my life. I have memories of being in Bible class studying the Word and just falling in love with the Author of the Bible and devouring His Word! There's absolutely nothing like it.

I've been wanting a Sony Reader!! This is a wonderful chance to win one, thanks! Hope to win.

My favorite book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, not so much because of the book itself (although it is an excellent book), but because of what the whole Harry Potter series has meant to me and my family.

My middle daughter (now 13) is dyslexic. When she was 9 she discovered the Harry Potter series on cassette, and started listening constantly. She soon got her older sister and younger brother listening. Every night at bedtime them would listen to the books as they fell asleep, trading cassettes and cds back and forth between their rooms. She decide she wanted to read the books despite their daunting size, and this motivation helped her make it through the hours of drill and hard work it took to get her reading fluently. Before she discovered Harry Potter she didn't have any interest in books at all. Finally by 11 she was reading fluently.

When Deathly Hallows was released we all stayed up until midnight, and went to the local store to buy a copy. We came home and read the first two chapters together, until I insisted the kids go to bed. We finished the book in marathon reading sessions over the next two days, with each of the kids, including my dyslexic daughter, taking turns reading out loud. So for us this book was a great family bonding experience, and something I know the kids will always remember and treasure. I am so glad all of my kids share my love of reading, and I know Harry Potter had a lot to do with that.

To this day, my favorite book remains "The Westing Game" by Ellen Raskin (I'm 32). I first read it as a middle reader (its intended audience) and was mesmerized by the individuals in a diverse cast of characters as well as the well-thought-out clues created to solve the ultimate mystery: Who Killed Sam Westing? I own several copies to this day and often give it out to friends and children. Although Ellen Raskin has passed on, her talented work lives on and I like to share it with new generations!!

We lived in the country and frequently the power was off in the winter due to storm conditions. One time, our family read aloud the whold series from Laura Ingles Wilder (Little House on the Praire, Little House in the Big Woods, etc).

Sharing the stories as a family is where my love of reading came from and I love passing to along to my grandchildren. They know we always read at grandmas and she always gives books for rewards.
