Winnie The Pooh Seasons Of Giving DVD Review

Winnie The Pooh: Seasons Of Giving 10th Anniversary Edition DVD
Rated: U.S.-not rated, Canada – G
Total feature run time: 63 minutes
Big time Pooh lover here. I decorated TJ’s room in Pooh when he was an infant and then dressed him in all of the Pooh clothing I could find. He tired of Pooh eventually, leaving me to watch Pooh alone. Fortunately for me, CJ absolutely adores Pooh and friends so I have someone to snuggle up with and watch.
The Seasons Of Giving DVD is a collection of several episodes – Groundpiglet Day, Thanksgiving and Find Her, Keep Her. My favorite of the three episodes is Groundpiglet Day. In Groundpiglet Day Rabbit’s calendar pages accidentally blow away and get everyone in the Hundred Acre Wood confused as to what season it is and what weather they should be having.
The DVD also contains two bonus episodes from The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh - The Magic Earmuffs and The Wishing Bear. We liked both of these. I had seen the “Magic Earmuffs” episode, where Christopher Robin gives Piglet his earmuffs to give him enough confidence to go ice skating. I had not seen “The Wishing Bear” so this was a real treat for me. In this one Christopher Robin gives Pooh a wishing spell but then forgets how to use it so he and his friends try and figure it out. The stories are all different but all have underlying messages about friendship. CJ really enjoyed both of the bonus activities as they are geared for younger viewers. In Coloring Fun With Piglet I like the way the player is patiently told if their answer is not the one needed and lets them try again.
The Winnie The Pooh Seasons Of Giving Collectible Set comes with a cute Christmas stocking. I’ve put it away until the holidays are closer but I know that CJ will have to fight me go nuts for it.
