VTech LS6225-2 Cordless Phone System Review And Giveaway

vtech ls6225-2 cordless phone system box

One of the things I’m particular about is home telephones. I actually use mine a lot. What I look for when shopping for a phone for the house I want something with specific features, something that will last, something that sounds good and something that is reasonably priced.

I received a VTech LS6225-2 Cordless Phone System to review.

From the website – The stylish LS6225-2 makes a strong design statement with a combination of touch-sensitive buttons (base station only), a high-gloss black and silver finish, and a blue backlit keypad and display. This system is expandable up to 12 handsets needing only one phone jack. In addition, this model boasts a super slim handset, page/handset locater and selectable ring tones.

The VTech LS6225-2 Cordless Phone System is a DECT 6.0 cordless phone system, which stands for Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications. DECT technology offers better quality, security and usage range than analog phones. The set comes with 2 handsets. It’s easy to connect. Only one of the phones needs to be connected to a telephone jack. The system expands to hold up to 12 handsets and is chock full of features.

The VTech LS6225-2 handset is black and very modern looking. It’s sturdy and comfortable to hold without being too light or too heavy. All of the buttons are labeled clearly and the features easy to access. I like the blue screen, I had no problems reading what was on the screen. The display will tell you the name and phone number of a caller, the time and date and if you have messages waiting. The phone buttons are backlit with a paler shade of the same color. You can control the volume of the phone from the handset, and can select the ring tone as well. The last number redial feature is very helpful to me. My favorite feature of the handset is the built in speakerphone, perfect for when you’re busy cooking or for those times you’re on hold and don’t want to have to hold the phone in your hand forever.

This phone has both call waiting and caller id, as well as a directory that will hold fifty names and numbers. It’s also designed so it won’t interfere with wireless home networks. Calls can be transferred from one handset or room to another and they can also conference with an outside line together as well. Handsets also function as an intercom within the home. CJ often grabs the phone and runs off, and sometimes I put a phone down and don’t remember where. The page/handset locator feature comes in very helpful at times like this.

I have home voicemail, which I prefer to an answering machine so I didn’t try out the built in answering machine out for this review. The answering system is digital and requires that has no parts and requires no tapes. It allows recording to 14 minutes and the messages have a time and date stamp. The system does permit remote call in from another location for message retrieval. There is a backlit message counter so you know if you have new messages or not. One feature that the answering machine has that I like is the memo feature, so you can leave voice messages for other members of the house.

The VTech LS6225-2 Cordless Phone System has a retail price of approximately $79.95. It can be purchased online. This phone would make a terrific addition to any household as well as a great gift.

I would love to win this cordless phone set for my 91 year old dad.
We are planning on buying him a new telephone for his Christmas gift.
The Vtech brand is a favorite of ours and I like that has the best sound
quality, security and range for a cordless phone.
    Many thanks, Cindi

Honestly it would be wonderful to have a phone with a decent BATTERY life! We can’t take ours off the chargers anymore without them beeping at us. If I had to choose one from their list I would choose that it has speaker because I use that for my kids a lot :)

I really like the fact that it is expandable, as I would likely need one more handset to put in the basement, so I can have a phone on every level. I wish it allowed for a headset to be plugged into it, because sometimes I want to be talking to someone while doing something that requires my hands.

I like the 2 handset phone,1 jack. This is neat and would be a blessing because one of my phones will be lost when the grandkids are here.I think they have made a game of it…the hunt for the phone.

The feature I like best ,well,I am torn between 2 at the moment. 1) the 2 handset with one having the ability to be placed anywheres without USING a phone jack! I live in a 1 phone jack apt.-it is not fun… 2)is the phone handset that you hold to talk on-it looks curved to your hand-not straight /flat designed….but since I can only chose 1 feature I better go with the 1st thought–needing no phone jack for 2nd handset! these older apt.buildings have dire needs for more jacks!!

I really like that it has two handsets with only one phone jack being used. I run a business out of my home and it would be nice to have a phone upstairs and downstairs all the time. Right now I’m just carrying my only cordless phone around with me and sometimes that gets a little inconvenient!
