Tinker Bell And The Lost Treasure DVD Review

tinker bell and the lost treasure bluray cover

I did not see the first Tinker Bell movie. I had a notion that the movie was only for little girls and that it couldn’t possibly have a story that I’d enjoy. When Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure was released on DVD last month I did not expect to like it for the same reason. I’m kicking myself now because I have a hole in my collection that could have been avoided. Oh yes, also because I was wrong.

Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is the story of mischievous Tinker Bell being tested when she receives a task that will require her to be very responsible. She has been asked to create a very focal and key piece for the moonstone ceremony. Moonstone restores Pixie Dust so it’s very important. An accident occurs and the moonstone breaks. Tink blames her best friend Terence for it and decides to go off on her own, hunting for a legendary special mirror she learned of that she believes will solve her problems. On her journey she makes a new friend Blaze the firefly. Tink learns some things about herself and her friends and heads home to face the others. I’ll leave the ending for you to watch for yourself.

I ended up enjoying the movie far more than I thought I would. I wish I’d seen the first one but this one was able to stand on it’s own. There are a few more planned in the series so next time I’ll be sure not to miss it. The bonus features on this DVD are neat. I especially liked watching how the Pixie Hollow Garden at Epcot came to be.

Here’s a video clip from the film called Hall of Scepters.

Tink is so like many of today’s kids in need of support and guidance.
