Acara Mia Magazine, the premier magazine for luxury children’s fashion, announced today the launch of its charity drive, Acara Mia’s Closet. Acara Mia’s Closet allows parents to “adopt a closet” by sponsoring a child to donate new or gently worn clothing on an ongoing basis. Anyone interested in getting involved in Acara Mia’s Closet can visit the Acara Mia Magazine tent or e-mail info@acaramiamagazine.com.
Acara Mia’s Closet connects parents, who are interested in donating their child’s stylish, gently-worn clothing with a child who is in need of apparel. The program is designed to allow parents to “adopt a closet” by donating clothing from their child’s closet every six to 12 months to the same recipient. Clothing apparel companies are also encouraged to participate by donating any time they wish. Acara Mia Magazine is currently seeking parents and companies interested in donating, as well as organizations with children in need. If you are interested in getting involved or for more information, e-mail info@acaramiamagazine.com.

Acara Mia’s sponsoring helping children is a great idea. I know I personally hated to throw clothes into the trash–what a waste. I know I hated putting them in “Charitable” bins that promised to shred for rags. I wanted to donate them where they were needed buy didn’t know how. When I asked my church years ago, I was told they only accept NEW clothes. I eventually found someone who could use them well with all her children. That made me feel good.
