Lysol Tips For A Healthy School Year With Giveaway

Today is the first day of fall. I noticed a sign on the doors where I work that flu shots were being offered. Yes folks, it’s that time again. Cold and flu season. I work in the medical field and I worry that I’m going to catch something and unknowingly bring it home to the boys. CJ is susceptible to everything, especially respiratory problems, so I worry. Obviously as a parent I want to do what I can, which is why products like Lysol are invaluable.
US health administration is predicting a very serious cold and flu season, so there’s no better time to make sure we’re doing everything we can to fight the germs. Lysol teamed up with Dr. Laura Jana, a pediatrician, mother of three school aged-children and owner of an educational daycare center to offer a back to school checklist to help families have a healthy and happy school year. One big step to minimizing exposure is stressing the importance of good personal hygiene habits to our children. Another step is to actively fight germs using products such as Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Disinfecting Wipes.
From the website – LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray is an EPA registered disinfectant that kills more than 99.9% of illness causing bacteria and viruses on environmental surfaces in your home.* Unlike other sanitizing products which only kill bacteria, LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray even kills nasty viruses that can cause illnesses such as the flu, the common cold, and infectious diarrhea among young children. It even works to control the growth of mold and mildew, among the most common type of allergens, on surfaces you seldom think of like plastic shower curtains. Mold spores are among the most common types of allergens in your home all year long. So killing mold and mildew can help to reduce your exposure.
LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray can be used to eliminate the following bacteria, fungi and viruses on hard non-porous surfaces:
Viruses:
• Influenza
• Rhinovirus (the leading cause of the common cold)
• Rotavirus (the leading cause of infectious diarrhea in children)
• Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) (the leading cause of lower
respiratory infection in children)
Bacteria:
• Staph MRSA and Strep • E.Coli • Salmonella • Campylobacter
Fungi:
• Athlete’s Foot Fungus • Mold • Mildew
LYSOL® Disinfectant Spray is available in a variety of scents including Crisp Linen, Spring Waterfall, Early Morning Breeze, Garden Mist, Summer Breeze, Country Scent and Original. Suggested retail price is $4.69 for a 12.5-ounce aerosol can and $5.79 for a 19.0-ounce aerosol can.
From the website – LYSOL® Disinfecting Wipes 4in1 with Micro-LockTM are the convenient way to clean and disinfect your household surfaces. Each pre-moistened disposable wipe kills 99.9% of germs – even the bacteria that cause odors – where you use it. No bottles, no sponges, no mess. Effective disinfecting has never been faster or easier. Help prevent the spread of germs in your home.
LYSOL® Disinfecting Wipes 4in1 kill 99.9%* of the following bacteria and viruses:
Bacteria:
• Staph
• Salmonella
• E.Coli
Viruses:
• Influenza A
LYSOL® DisinfectingWipes are available in Citrus Scent and Spring Waterfall scents. Suggested retail price is $2.99 for a 35-wipe canister, $5.34 for an 80-wipe canister and $6.79 for a 110-wipe canister.
I remember my Mom using Lysol Disinfectant Spray way back when and I’ve used it since I had TJ. Currently I like the Spring Breeze scent the best. It can be used on almost any surface. Potential problem areas that should be treated include doorknobs, telephones, counter tops, garbage cans, diaper pails, faucets, furniture, mattresses, pillows, upholstery and backpacks. More recently we’ve both started using the Lysol Disinfecting Wipes in other areas around the house. I like the Spring Waterfall scent.
These Lysol products are sold in the household cleaning aisle of food, drug, mass and convenience stores nationwide. For more information on both of these products, visit www.lysol.com.
