I got a bad joint
I started physical therapy today. The woman (physical therapist) was really nice. She took a really detailed history and did a physical exam, all the while telling me that my answers were funny. I wasn’t trying to be funny, I was being truthful. For example, she said “Oooh, you’re flexible!” I said “It surprises me that I’m so bendy for a fat lady too”. She thought that was funnier then hell.
So part way through the exam she’s telling me she can see the difference between my two legs. Yes that’s right, you and I both learned today that my legs are different. No, I don’t mean left from right. Apparently she could see something in the leg and the knee during all of the bending and lifting. She feels there’s a good chance my symptoms haven’t made sense to anyone because they’re being caused by my SI joint. The SI joint is the joint between the spine and the pelvis. She said between the L4 and L5 and the SI joint it would account for all of the problems I’ve been having. She’s going to target the therapy towards it at first and we’ll see what happens.
We went over the exercises she wants me to do at home and then she had me lay on the table. She gave me all sorts of pillow and wedges until I was comfy and had me lay on heat for a while. The heat felt really good on my lower back but it did burn my butt a little so I had to move it a little. My next session is Thursday.

When I broke my elbow, I fell while riding my motorcycle, I had to have therapy. My favorite part was having them wrap my arm in warm blankets.
