I Cut The Cord

| Fri 07-17-09 | 1 Comment

I love music. When I’m on the computer it’s not unusual to find me rocking out with my headphones on. The only problem is sometimes I forget about the cord and end up twisting around arm orĀ  the wheel of the chair or other times accidentally knocking something over with the cord. No more. This week I cut the cord by getting a pair of bluetooth headphones and a wireless USB Adapter, which connects to an external port and adds bluetooth to your computer.

So easy as pie the cord was gone. Sadly, I discovered that I paid too much for my adapter. I paid $24.99 and today I found one just like it in the Buy.com sale section for $8.99. Doesn’t that figure!

If you’re looking to add wireless to your home computer, this is an affordable way to do it. The one on sale is a TRENDnet Wireless Super G USB Adapter, model #TEW444UB and it regularly retails for $39.99. I don’t know about you but I think a $31 davings is pretty sweet! Plus, like all of the best things, it’s eligible for free shipping. This one works on the Windows operating system and is compliant with both IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11b standards. It’s small and portable, meaning you could change the computer you use it on if you want to. And it’s got a 3 year warranty.

I really wish I’d waited to buy mine.
