I tried the Belkin CushTop. I thought it might be awkward having it on my lap but it was soft and comfortable and actually gave me a more comfortable angle for typing. I didn’t feel any heat coming from the laptop when I used it. I’d love to see a wider version that allowed for use of a mouse as well.

My laptop is sitting on one of the cooler pads with 2 fans. It USB connects for power into the laptop and lately the fans are occasionally so loud that I pull the power cord so I can work. Next time they start up quiet so I keep forgetting that they probably won’t last much longer.
I currently sit my laptop on the arm of the couch when I’m using it. It works out okay, but I think this would be a bit nicer!
