If you missed my Black Mountain Jewelry Mother’s Day giveaway then you missed a good one. I have known my best friend, Susan, for about six years now. I returned to work when my kids were about 3 and 4 and that is where we met. We both are single parents and though we don’t have lots of free time, we do a lot of talking about our kids and share a lot in common. We try to go out also at least once a year, so that should tell you how busy life makes you when you become a mother. LOL. My dad passed away this year and not only did she come to my father’s visitation but she also brought some former co-workers of mine as well. Thank you, Susan, for being there through thick and thin. I have been best friends with my husband since we were in high school–about 13 years! Wow, I feel old now…anyway, I value his friendship because even though we don’t always agree on things, we still manage to work stuff out. We understand how important compromise and honesty are to our relationship. that being said, I doubt that he would like wearing matching jewelry with me, so I’ll tell you about my second best friend, my sister. She’s more like my mom than my sister, and I don’t know what I’d do without her. She helps me see past my stubborn nature and reminds to be NICE. We vent to each other in tough times, and we rejoice with each other in good times. We drive each other crazy from time to time, but we love each other enough that it doesn’t matter. I love both of my best friends dearly!

I love the Western Heart Earrings the best
I met my best friend over our backyard fences 38 years ago. Say what!! Man, that was a long time ago:) The reason we are best friends is that she gets me, she has the most wonderful sense of humor. She’s smart, way smarter than me and yet she still wants to hang out with me:)I can’t imagine life without her!

I have been friends with my best friend Kathy since high school, which makes it roughly 29 years. We have survived her husband and two daughters, my daughter, her grandchildren, and living so far from each other that we only get to see each other if lucky once a year. We survive because we don’t lie to each other, are never jealous of what the other person has, give to each other until it hurts and never judge the other no matter what decision they make. That is why we have lasted and will continue to last until the day of our death.

The Sonora Star Collection – Pearl Chokers (17 1/2″) Western Heart really caught my eye, it is an exquisite piece! Truly, all the jewelry is beautifully crafted and the designs are simply gorgeous!
I’ve been best friends with my BFF Carol since I was a freshman in high school, that’s over 15 years! She is like a sister to me and I love her like one. Carol is honest, trustworthy, loyal, compassionate, giving of her time, she is fun to be with and hysterical with her personality. She has stuck by me during the best of times and she has also stuck by me during some of my darkest times and she has never once judged me for the decisions I have made or the mistakes I have made in my life, and there have been some duzzies!! She’s my best friend because I know when all else fails in my life, she will always be there for me with an open mind and an open heart. I could go on and on and get all mushy, but I couldn’t ask for a better friend in this world than Carol.

I have been friends with my best friend for 30 years! I love her because she’s not judgmental. We have had very different lives, but now are in the same place – married with children. We share common bonds and many years of history; we know each other well. We can go months without talking but are always able to pick up where we left off. We live in different parts of the country, but when I go “home”, she always makes time for me.

My best friend. hmmm. I have a lot of really great friends. My oldest friend is someone I met in 6th grade in 1981. She is a dear friend to me. I have a great group of girls that I do monthly girls nights with. We’ve been doing that for 4 years now. I suppose though, that my best friend is my cousin Jason. He knows me better than anyone and we have a mutual admiration society going on. He is fantastic!

Tricia and I have been best friends since the beginning of high school. (Almost nine years now). We clicked instantly over our love of pink, Disney, and our Biology class. We had similiar situations, our mom’s had us when they were young, our dad’s weren’t apart of our lives, and we both weren’t really into the whole being a teenage girl thing. We both loved getting stuff at thrift stores, and making our own accessories, and over achieving. After high school, we went to collges 3000 miles away from each other but never really left. I send her care packages in the mail and even when we’re too busy to call we always send each other email updates. Knowing that I have her around (even if its so far away) makes me happy because I never feel alone.

My best friend would have to be my daughter! She’s all grown up now, and lives 1/2 way across the country but w/cell phones (God BLESS THEM!) WE talk/text daily. She still asks for my opinion on things, and gives her own thoughts as well which I value – she has a great head on her shoulders!!! I’d love to win this to share w/her
