What I like the best about when hubby’s not home

Hubby just went out for a bit and I’m glad. I’m one of those people that sometimes likes to be the only adult in the house. One of the biggest reasons for this is because I can have my way with all of the electronics in the living room. He gets a little perturbed when I have the television on while I’m on the computer. He’d watch tv most of the day if he could. I like music too. Right now I have the new Theory Of A Deadman cd (it’s awesome) playing on the home stereo and am happily blogging away, writing the highlights of my weekly food meme Four Foods On Friday. So who else likes it when they have the house to themselves, and why?

I like the early morning hours before the kids and hubby wake up. I can drink some tea in peace and quiet. It’s the only peace and quiet time I get. I can’t even take a bath without a kid barging in or pounding on the door, lol. I think it’s been years since I’ve been the only one home. Hubby taking four kids out with him without me? LOL, that’s not going to happen though I do it often.

I like being able to watch what I want (read: chick flicks and medical shows) without hearing him complain about it. I like being able to move around the house without hearing sighing and fussing because something isn’t the way he thinks it should be. And when he’s gone overnight, I like being able to sleep in the ENTIRE bed, cuz usually he’s hogging up 2/3 of the bed…and it’s also a lot quieter, since he snores like a buzz saw.

Linda - We both snore so I can’t say much about that. I also like it if he’s not around when he’s grumpy, so I don’t hear him muttering and talking to himself.
