Today’s shocking experience

I went to the orthopedist for an emg of one leg today. I had been getting more and more apprehensive about the test all week. Having had 4 of them (2 for each arm) for carpal tunnel in the past I know that I don’t enjoy them. I didn’t feel any better when the doc told me he was going to do some of the tests on both legs to compare each other. We got through those and then the doc put little needles in and shocked me some more. He asked me to sit up. Whew! Man was I glad that was over. Except it wasn’t. He had me lay on my belly and he did surface and nerve conduction testing on my back. I was crying within no time. So it seems that I have a lumbar radiculopathy. Bad L4 and L5! The doc wants me to go to physical therapy and try a prescription. I’m sick of hurting so it can’t hurt to try.
