The dry cycle
Today I’m home and I’m still worn out from yesterday so I think I’m going to stay home and try and catch up on things around here. As mentioned once of twice previously, my Dad is a national officer for the Sons of the American legion. This weekend was his testimonial weekend. We began with a meet and greet with appetizers on Friday night. Yesterday morning I got up at 6am because at 8am a bus was leaving to take about 60 of us to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. If you live anywhere in the New York-New Jersey area, you know what yesterday’s weather was like. We did have a good time, but we got absolutely drenched. My coat is still soaking wet, as are my son’s favorite sneakers. We got back from that trip at about 5pm and at 6:30pm we had the open bar and hors deurves hour. Then at 7:30 we had the dinner with a toast/roast and presentation of gifts. I’ll be writing more about it, right now I must start some coffee and laundry.

Wow! You did have a busy day! I’m spending today recovering from Saturday as well. Got some laundry going, but that’s about it!
I have my laundry going and am blogging and doing other stuff every 10-15 minutes, just trying to catch up on everything.
