[...] Last week I blogged about a teenage girl from my state participating in a Polar Bear plunge to suppo... I do not know this girl or her family. I was most surprised today to come home and check my email and blog comments and see she had left a comment on my post. I don’t know how she found out about it but I’m glad she did and took the time to write. For those that didn’t read it Stephanie has set a personal goal of $2,000. She’s only halfway there and the Plunge is this weekend. All funds raised go to the Special Olympics New Jersey, and this is their biggest fundraiser of the year. I’ve already made a small donation under this site’s url, and I am extending an offer to anyone else that reads this that is willing to help. I will match donations made towards Stephanie’s goal. There is a catch - I can’t spend more than $100 total, so if the first five of you total $100 together that’s where I have to stop matching. But please don’t let my inability to match stop you from donating. So please help me spend my money. Donate to what is an important social cause, and for me and many other people a personal one. Just choose to have your donation included in the scrolling honor roll when you make your donation, then comment here on this post who your donation is listed as - your name or your blog url. I will write a post thanking anyone who donates anything towards this cause. Please help. Thanks. Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. [...]
