SHOP.com review
If you’re a regular reader then you may recall my writing that I don’t usually go out shopping on Black Friday. There’s a couple of reasons for that but the biggest one is I hate the crowds and chaos. I prefer to shop online whenever possible, not only for the holidays but for almost all gift purchases. Before making any purchase I research my prices extensively, which often means visiting a lot of online stores. Thanks to MomCentral I’ve learned about a really helpful site that could make my holiday shopping easier.
SHOP.com is a comparison shopping site where shoppers have access to more than 2,000 online stores all from one centralized place. It’s easy to use. I’ve been thinking about replacing our old toaster with a new 4 slot toaster that can accommodate bagels. All I had to do was type in 4 slot bagel toaster and it returned 63 results. From there I was able to sort by price. Once I saw a toaster that I liked I was able to compare it or add it to my cart. If you’re buying more than one item you might be able to check out with OneCart, which is a shopping cart that allows you to buy various items from different stores and pay for them all on SHOP. You are able to buy from more than 800 stores using OneCart. Or you can just purchase directly from SHOP’s partner stores on their sites. So I decided to compare it. When I clicked compare I was shown the names of the two stores I was comparing, as well as their rating, product info and price. Some of the stores I saw results for are stores I’ve seen in search engines. How nice to not have to search through pages of search engine results and go into each store. Besides the regular product search there are also sections you can browse including free shipping, coupons and contests. There’s even a section where members can post the bargains they’ve found.
Check them out next time you’re shopping. You can save yourself some time and money by purchasing from multiple stores all on one site, and it looks like they carry everything.
