See and say the web

I turned on the television in the living room today and put on a show for my youngest son. As it began I realized that it gives me a good feeling to see the closed captioning symbols on television shows. I see the text on the bottom of the screen on a number of pbs kids shows my youngest son likes. Someday I think all shows will have closed captioning available. With more and more video appearing on the web I think that more companies heavily using the internet and new media will be looking for a captioning service to make their product more marketable and reach more markets. And they should, because there’s no reason that people of all abilities shouldn’t be able to share in the same things.
