Road trip

Me and my youngest are taking a little road trip today. We’re going out to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philly. He’s going to have a procedure called an ABR which stands for auditory brainstem response. Hopefully this will tell us more on any hearing issues present. He hasn’t been allowed food since he went to bed last night and is now only allowed clear liquids. The procedure is done under general anesthesia. We’re getting ready to head out now and I’m feeling bad for him because I know he’s going to be so hungry.

Hubby was nice enough to take my Dad’s truck to work so I can take his. He knows that the 90 minute to two hour ride in my truck with no heat would be very uncomfortable and I’d probably have to break out some camping gear and cover my son with a sleeping bag to keep warm. What a guy. Thanks hubby, and thanks to my Dad too!
