PT progress

Well I’ve gone to four sessions of physical therapy for my hand. They’re trying to rehab my hand/wrist/arm as treatment for carpal tunnel. They always start out by applying heat, which I like. It’s all downhill from there. Then they ultrasound. Then they apply Biofreeze, which is sort of like industrial strength Bengay. Then they have me do different exercises with small equipment. By now I’m really not enjoying myself. Last, they apply ice. I hate the ice, it really hurts. I’d rather risk the “after” effects of taking something like an alli diet pill than have to be iced. Therapy does seem to be helping a bit but I’m concerned about how I’ll feel after I’ve gone to all of my sessions.

In my prior life (before really hiting a streak of babies) I was a PT. Hang in there. It can really help.

There is no doubt physical therapy is torture. I had a bad break in my collar bone after getting hit by a drunk driver. I had to do 6 months of physical therapy. I hated every minute of it, but I can’t deny that it gave me mobility back in my shoulder. I know its tough but it will help you in some way.
