Promise SuperShots For High Blood Pressure review and giveaway

Are you at risk for having high blood pressure? More than 73 million American adults have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. BzzAgent sent me information on a new product from Promise that claims to help flush sodium from your body by supplying it with more potassium. The product is called Promise SuperShots For High Blood Pressure.

SuperShots are so named because each serving comes in a small 3 ounce bottle. It’s available nationwide in grocery stores, drugstores and other retailers and comes in four packs that retail for about $3.99. Three flavors made with real fruit are available – Strawberry Banana, Peach Apricot and Mixed Berry. Each SuperShot has between 45-60 calories, is low in sodium and cholesterol free, and provides you with 350 mg of potassium. Potassium helps flush sodium from the body. When sodium is high the body retains water and can increase blood pressure. Potassium acts to flush out the excess sodium.

I tried a four pack of the mixed berry because it’s the only flavor I’d be interested in. The taste was similar to some yogurts that I’ve previously tried, not great and not horrible. I wouldn’t buy this product because I think it’s too expensive and it’s just a bad idea. As a person in the medical field I can tell you that high blood pressure can be very dangerous and should be treated professionally. High blood pressure increases your risk of stroke and heart disease. If you already have high blood pressure you should not attempt to manage it yourself. If you don’t have high blood pressure there are less expensive ways to effectively increase your potassium and decrease your sodium like vitamins and good food choice, but I wouldn’t recommend fiddling with vitamin and mineral levels on my own. But that’s just my opinion. I encourage you to visit the site and make up your own mind. Limiting tobacco and alcohol intake, exercising and maintaining a healthy weight are all excellent tips, both in regards to high blood pressure and good health in general.

Diets containing foods that are good sources of potassium and low in sodium may reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.

I have tried the super shots for cholesterol and with a diet of Lean cuisines, fruits, vitamin water, and vegetables along with my Liptor my total cholesterol dropped to 106 and the good and bad were just as impressive. It has been as high as 289 and then a drop to 189 and a climb back up to 219. Yes, I would be willing to try this one and my favorite flavor is strawberry banana.

Well, high blood pressure and high cholesteral.

I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt to try it, plus I eat yogurt every day. Why not buy this for a test drive a little while. Maybe drink on a day for two months before a doctor check0-up and then see the results.

I tried the mixed berry. I thought it would taste a bit more like yogurt but not bad overall. I’ll keep drinking them.
