Phone call after one month out

I got two surprise phone calls this morning. The first was from my brother who’s in the Navy! We kept the call short because those phone calls are really expensive. I got to talk to him very briefly, as did my oldest son. It’s been one month since he deployed, and he still hasn’t reached his destination. It was so good to hear his voice that it brought tears to my eyes. We are so proud of you for what you’re doing. We miss you.

Then another of my three brothers called. This one is the oldest of the three, and he’s on vacation with his wife and daughter. they were boarding a Disney cruise ship for an 8 day Disney cruise. He wanted to say hello before he left.

So only my middle youngest brother and myself will be in the US. I’m not going anywhere but at this rate I wouldn’t be surprised if he called me to tell me he was going on a weekend trip and getting one of those Branson cabins.
