One of two things isn’t working here

I’m not 100% sure which – the tv or the Tivo. See, the tv in our bedroom is pretty old and actually needs to warm up for 5-10 minutes or it makes all sorts of noises and the picture will cut in and out. That tv is connected to a Tivo, as well as a vhs and dvd player. Last night I turned on the tv and got no picture at all. The Tivo had a light on as thought it was recording, but we had nothing scheduled to record. I left it on to warm up for a while before I started to panic. After 35 minutes I still had no picture and no sound. My first thought was the tv was dead or dying. First I checked the cables. (Red, yellow, green. The tv is old so it doesn’t use those HDMI cables.) All cables appeared to be fine. I killed all power on that wall for two minutes and turned it back on. I got a picture and the message telling me that Tivo was restarting. Five minutes into that everything froze. At this point I was thinking it was probably the Tivo. I killed all the power again and turned it on again. This time everything started correctly and after the Tivo reconnected all was well. I put the guarantee on all of the Tivos, so I think I’m going to call it in and see what Tech Support has to say.
