Oh no he didn’t just ask me that.
I went to see the surgeon for a follow up visit. When I informed him I was still having issues he asked me to describe them. When I started telling him about the different pains and other things going on he wanted me to try and be specific with the times they occurred. For example, my surgical scar now hurts and changes colors in some relation to the weather. I told him I was having a hard time understanding what was happening because it wasn’t consistent. His answer? “You could keep a journal. Or, do you know what a blog is?” For a minute I thought I heard him wrong. Here was my surgeon, the head of the department at the nearby university hospital, asking me if I was familiar with blogging. I laughed and sort of tilted my head. He said there were a lot of others might relate. I don’t know about it, I’m thinking on it, but leaning towards not. The ideal time to start a blog for that would have been last August. If I did it would have already lost a few months of timeliness. Sure I could write about it but I don’t know. Have you ever started a blog on a topic at someone else’s suggestion? How was it received?

You should have asked him what the URL for his blog is – everyone knows only bloggers care about blogs.
Tina Kubala’s last blog post..Reduce and Reuse Failed
Thanks for making that excellent point Tina. I hadn’t thought about it that way. I’ll have to ask him next time I go in.
Hoh boy, “do you know what a blog is”!!! Now, that’s hilarious!!
So… you gonna keep a blog?
