NASCAR racing at Watkins Glen
Well, I made it this year! We had the same seats but I hadn’t seen them because I didn’t get up here last year due to the surgery. The start-finish line was moved and we’re now really close to it. We were seated right across from Kurt’s (#2) pit and Jamie’s (#26) was further down to our right but still within sight. In the reconfiguration of seats we got shuffled further down the front stretch, so we’re a bit farther away from the first few pits than I’m useds to. Before the green flag dropped it was announced that Tony Stewart had been named one of the best drivers of the decade, which thrilled TJ. A big wreck involving nine cars happened with less than ten to go and brought out the red flag. Bobby Labonte was taken to the hospital. The car was really wrecked bad, we watched them take it off the track. Shrub (little Busch – Kyle) won again, big freaking deal. He’s too arrogant and cocky for me. Kurt finished 10th and Jamie finished 16th.Tony finished 2nd, Kasey finished 14th, and Dale Jr. finished 22nd. It rained this morning, as it almost always does at the Glen, but weather for the race wasn’t bad at all.

Wow, I missed a lot this race! Is Bobby all right? I miss them (Bobby & Tony) racing for the same team anymore. Will have to do a search on news of Bobby’s condition. Thanks for stopping by my place a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been so swamped with teens and things that I hardly get to visit much, but I am trying … LOL!
GoldenGoddesss last blog post..Who said diet pills?
GoldenGoddess – We heard on the news Bobby was ok and released later. I thought Bobby performed his best when he was with Joe Gibbs Racing.
