I have had horrible mishaps as well when it comes to cooking something new. I prefer it come out perfect the first time around but sometimes it just doesn't. But I also don't give up on it. So you made a few mistakes the first time around, everyone does. I hope you still have a interest in cooking and trust me give the egg foo young and fried rice another chance. I bet the second time around it would be fantastic and if it doesn't try it again. I once had a recipe come out wrong six times before i nailed it right!! It just takes time and patients.
