Looking for header help

Help! I need a new header. I know roughly what I want but could use some ideas on how to make my vision less vague. I’ve already paid for two headers that don’t fit the blog or what I want. What do I want, you ask? I want the header to make sense and be recognizable when paired with the title of this blog. The header should reflect a woman (but not with a real person’s picture) and knowledge. Hubby and kids nice but optional. If you’ve seen my Entrecard badge for this blog (the one with the head of a woman), I’m looking for a similar idea but in a header. I want it to have vivid colors but it would be great if it wasn’t too specific on one color so I could use it if I change the blogs theme. Ane one more thing. I have almost no budget. So. Do any of you have any suggestions or ideas?
